(EASI) to develop sales estimates and projections for individual products for 2008 and projections for 2013 for each of 939 Core Based Statistical Areas and each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. 2008 sales estimates for each product category were developed by Furniture/Today market research based on data available through August 2008 and are subject to revision as additional data become available. Current estimates are based on information from the Department of Commerce, the International Trade Commission, sales estimates from manufacturers and retailers, Furniture/Today’s Consumer Buying Trends Survey, Upholstery and Case Goods Style surveys, the Furniture Store Performance Report and discussions with industry executives and analysts.
