*This report originally appeared in the July 2009 print issue of Kids Today.* Consumer spending on infant gear is expected to increase nationally by 12.7% over the next five years according to the most recent projections by New York-based Easy Analytic Software Inc. (EASI). The report includes state-by-state estimates of 2008 infant gear sales and projections of 2013 sales. It also includes regional growth projections for the fastest-growing markets in each of the four census regions. Kids Today market research worked with Easy Analytic Software Inc. (EASI) to develop 2008 sales estimates and 2013 sales projections for infant gear. The 2008 sales estimates are based on data available through August 2008 and are subject to revision. Estimates are based on information from the Department of Commerce, the International Trade Commission, sales estimates from manufacturers and retailers, Kids Today and HGTV’s 2008 Consumer Survey, Furniture/Today and HGTV’s 2008 Consumer Views Survey, as well as discussions with industry executives and analysts. 2 Pages.
