Furniture/Today’s exclusive merchandise mix report offers insight on what’s happening in today’s furniture business environment and presents store executives with an idea of how they measure up against the industry. In particular, this report, part two of the annual survey, focuses on the sales floor of furniture retailers-including sales and selling space data as well as lines and SKUs. Using the report as a guide, executives can review the data and set goals for their own store.
Furniture/Today’s exclusive Furniture Store Performance Report survey was fielded in May, 2010. The data is presented in two separate reports, Store Operations and Merchandise Mix, in the September 20 and September 27 issues, respectively. Responding retailers include full-line furniture retailers, specialty retailers by either product or style, manufacturer-branded stores and clearance centers. All regions of the country are well represented.
