Nearly two-thirds of outdoor retailers and designers predict the neutrals color group will be best-selling in 2015 for cushions, according to Casual Living's exclusive 2015 Fabric Survey. That's 28 percentage points higher than last year, when 37% of respondents forecasted a best-selling year for neutral cushions.
Fielded in October and November, Casual Living's annual fabric survey presents 2015 fabric color and pattern projections for outdoor furniture retail stores and designers. Respondents represented more than 200 store fronts.
Thirty-seven percent of respondents have locations in the Northeast, 27% percent in the South, 23% in the West; and 13% in the Midwest. Forty-six percent of the respondents are outdoor specialty retailers, 14% are full-line furniture stores, 24% are designers and the remaining 16% are wholesalers, direct-to-consumer and hardware stores.
Thirty-four percent of the respondents garnered less than $1 million in annual sales for 2014, 39% had between $1 million and $4.99 million and 7% had $5 million to $9.99 million. Twenty percent of respondents recorded $10 million or more in annual sales for 2014.
